Think for a moment

Most problems would not arise, but for a moment's thought. A moment is a long time and thinking is a difficult process. We have neither a moment nor do we want to do anything difficult.
What's the life full of care, if we have no time to pause, think and stare?

We spend time on inconsequential things or things that are routine or urgent.
Let's think about things that matter truly and are important.

Master Disciple Relationship

M a s t e r - D i s c i p l e

On a river's edge, in meditative pose,
Stood the Master and His disciple, in quiet repose.
Their minds were still, and breathing slow,
In the perfect tempo was the river's gentle flow.

Across the waters, was this majestic sight,
A mountain so beautiful, with its peak in the light.
A symbol of strength and calm inside one,
Its beauty a reminder of life's simple fun.

Spoke the Master softly to His devoted friend,
"Observe the beauty around you, let the worries end.
Let nature's wonders continue to soothe your soul,
As you find the ultimate peace that will make you whole."

The disciple listened attentively, taking it all in,
The Master’s wisdom, the beauty of the mountain.
The river, the silence, and the Sun's warm glow,
All working together to help him grow.

They stood there, the Sun set and the stars came out,
The guru and disciple had no doubt,
That nature's gifts had worked their spell,
And left them both feeling truly well.

The disciple, inspired by the Master’s wisdom,
Spread His teachings far and wide, with love and freedom.
He shared the message of peace, joy and calm,
And helped many others find their own inner balm.

The beauty of nature and the power of stillness,
Are gifts that can heal and bring true fulfilment.
The legacy of the Master lives on,
Through the disciple's actions, His spirit shone.

Let us all also take a moment to see,
The beauty in nature, so pure and free.
Let it inspire us to be and put in our best,
And find the peace that brings true rest.

Outlook

Let's do an exercise.
Suppose you come to know with certainty that you have only 5 more years to live. How does it change your outlook towards life? Will you start doing things you have not been able to do so far in your life? Do you drop certain things? Do you alter the way you have been doing certain other things? How does it change you, your mindset, your (remaining) life, your relationships?
THINK!

Suppose that period is not 5 years but 5 months? Do your answers change?

What happens if the period is not 5 months but 5 days or 5 hours or just 5 minutes?

Worth pondering about.

Does this exercise change your perspective towards life however long it may be?

It did for me.

Spiritual Pursuit

We can view our pursuit of realisation as a mountain which we climb. Every move takes us closer to the top and perfection.

Difficulties will come as we climb.  When we surmount them, we become stronger and get closer to the summit.

But let's remember. We should conquer the summit not because the world should see that we are on the summit... but for us to see the world (from a different perspective) once we are there.

On our climb to the summit of spirituality... we should know that every time we take a step up, the previous one drops off...   there is no going or looking back. There is no wasted effort either.

There are others too climbing the same peak. Some are faster than you. Know that there is no race. We should move at our own speed and we will be there. If someone extends help let's be open to it.

Some others will be slower than us. Without it much affecting our own speed if we can extend help to them, we must do that joyfully.

There is Nothing One Can't Recover From

(Photo by Simon Berger on Pixels.com)

I felt I had lost everything in my life. The whole world seemed dark.

Then came a friend and reminded me that many trees lose  all their leaves every year. But they stand tall in the knowledge that they will be green the next year though not with same leaves.

I smiled - when came the light of the realisation that this whole incarnation itself may be just one year for my soul tree. I have to stand tall in the knowledge that it's not the end. I have to create the right energy patterns (vrittis) to take with me to my next year.

Couple of tears chose to roll down my cheeks - with the feeling of... how come I didn't realise till now that Her love was always there and that it was only I who had not tapped into it. Thank you my dear friend - O beloved Divine Mother for taking me on your lap and removing my delusion.
